Installing Your Certificate in SAP NetWeaver Application Server 6.10+

Installing Your Certificate

  1. Download the appropriate intermediate certificate and save as "intermediate.crt" on your server.
  2. From the Trust Manager screen expand the SSL server PSE node.
  3. For each application that is to receive a signed certificate complete the following steps:

A. Double click to select the appropriate application server. The application server's SSL server PSE is displayed in the PSE maintenance section.


B. In the PSE maintenance section choose Import Cert. Response. The dialog for the certificate request response will be displayed.


C. Paste the contents of the certificate request response into the dialog's text box or select the response from the file system by using the Load Local File. The signed public key certificate is imported into the server's SSL server PSE which is displayed in the PSE maintenance section. You can view the certificate by selecting it and double clicking. The certificate information is then shown in the certificate maintenance section.

  1. Save the data.
     

Importing the CA's Root Certificates if Not Located in the Certificate Database

  1. In the certificate section choose Import Certificate. The Import Certificate dialog box will appear.
  2. Select the Database tab.
  3. Select the certificate from the certificate database and click Enter. The certificate will appear in the certificate section.
  4. Choose Add to Certificate List. The certificate will be added to the certificate list for the PSE displayed in the PSE maintenance section.
  5. Save the data.
     

Importing the CA's Root Certificates if Located in the File System

  1. In the certificate section choose Import Certificate. The Import Certificate dialog box will appear.
  2. Enter the corresponding file name from the file system.
  3. Select the certificate's file format (Base64). Click Enter. The certificate will appear in the certificate section.
  4. Choose Add to Certificate List. The certificate will be added to the certificate list for the PSE displayed in the PSE maintenance section.
  5. Save the data.
     

Importing the CA's Root Certificates if Located in Different PSE

  1. Expand the node for the PSE that contains the certificates and select one of the application servers by double clicking it. The PSE and its certificate list will appear in the PSE maintenance section.
  2. Select the certificate. The certificate will appear in the certificate maintenance section.
  3. Select one of the application servers under the SSL server PSE node.
  4. Choose Add to Certificate List. The certificate will be added to the certificate list for the PSE displayed in the PSE maintenance section.
  5. Save the data.
  6. Repeat Steps 1-5 for all certificates.
