Setting Up a Test Account You will receive a reply to your request in Step 1 from the FDA containing a temporary UserID and Password for your WebTrader test account. Once you receive this e-mail you are ready to set up the test account. Be sure to have the following items available during this process: Company and Contact Information Your Public Key (.p7b) that you exported in Step 4.

Export Public Key Open Internet Explorer. Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner. Click Internet Options.​

Intermediate certificates help complete the "Chain of Trust" from an end-entity certificate back to a root certificate. Intermediate certificates must be present ahead of time prior to setting bindings in IIS or applying services in Exchange.

Microsoft added support for ECC (Elliptic Curve Cryptography) starting with Windows Server 2008. While the support is present in Server 2008 - Server 2012 R2, the default CSP (Cryptographic Service Provider) is set to generate RSA keys. In order to generate an ECC key, the CSP must be manually specified. This can be accomplished with a CSR request through the MMC.

This error may occur if the user incorrectly enters the pass phrase to their certificate. Be sure to remember the pass phrase to your certificate as this information is only known by the certificate owner...

It has been recently discovered that the POODLE vulnerability affects more than simply SSL 3.0. Improper checking of TLS “padding” means that the vulnerability may also be used to exploit TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1.
