What is the new maximum validity for SSL Certificates?
*Effective March 1, 2018, CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements restrict the maximum validity of DV and OV SSL certificates to 825 days (~2 year or 27 months).
GlobalSign is taking a proactive approach to the new rule and starting April 20th 2017, will no longer issue retail (individual) 3-year SSL Certificates.
The 3-year SSL option will remain available for Managed SSL customers and partners until March 2018. Even though the regulation doesn’t go into effect until March 2018, we encourage customers to begin transitioning to 2-year SSL.
