OVERVIEW: This page walks you through the process of reissuing a new GlobalSign SSL Certificate. At the completion of this procedure, you will be able to place a reissued order for your SSL Certificate. |
Reissue is advised in the following scenarios:
If you need to install the Certificate on a new machine, however you have lost the original downloaded file to install.
If the Certificate’s private key has become compromised; we advise that the compromised Certificate be revoked after reissuance.
If you need to install the Certificate on a new machine but are unable to export the private key from the machine where you installed it originally.
|
IMPORTANT: If any of the following scenarios apply, you can receive a new Certificate free of charge by reissuing your certificate. If the reissue button is not available in your account, please contact support for assistance. |
Log in to your GCC account, then go to the SSL Certificates tab.

Select the certificate you wish to cancel and reorder, then click Edit.
On the next page, click the Reissue Certificate from the top of the page.
|
IMPORTANT: If you the Reissue Certificate button is not available, there may be a more recent order that has already been reissued or had SAN options added. Otherwise, please contact support for assistance. |

Enter your CSR in the box and click Continue.
|
IMPORTANT: The CSR must contain the exact same information used on the original order. CSR information cannot be changed with a reissue. |
|
INFORMATION: Each time you reissue your Certificate, a new order number is created. Repeating steps 1 & 2 will bring up an updated list of orders including your reissued Certificate. It should be the most recent one on the list. If you need to perform additional reissues of the same Certificate, it must always be done from the latest iteration of your Certificate. When you reissue your SSL Certificate it will not affect the original Certificate which will remain fully functional unless revoked. |
Check your certificate installation for SSL issues and vulnerabilities.
