1. Can I use one service subscription for two or more identities?

Yes you can.

 

2. How do I renew a service subscription?

Service subscriptions automatically renew by default, unless you opt out of automatic renewal by unselecting the toggle next to 'Subscription renews automatically' during the subscription process. 

If you are subscribing to more than 50K signatures, you will not be able to disable the automatic-renewal during the ordering process. You can ask the GlobalSign Sales Account Manager to disable it for you before accepting the quote.

To opt in or out of auto-renewal on an Active Service, you will need to: 

a. Browse to your Active Service.

b. Hover the three dots in the top right hand corner of the tile.

c. Click on the three dots and select 'Enable Auto-Renewal' or 'Disable Auto-Renewal'. 

d. A pop-up box will appear asking you to confirm the change, click accept.

e. This will bring you to an updated view of the Identity tile, stating whether you have opted to automatically renew the subscription.  

 

3. Can I increase my current service subscription? If so, how?

You can request a new quote on a subscription, by either purchasing it online or contacting your sales representative / Account Manager.

 

4. When can I start using my service subscription?

When the service subscription has the status Active, you may use the service subscription.

 

5. How do I stop automatic renewal of my service?

During the subscription process, you can opt-out of automatic renewal by unselecting the toggle next to 'Subscription renews automatically'.

6. How do I cancel a service?

You will need to refer to the terms and conditions of your agreement, and contact your sales representative / Account Manager.

 

7. What is overage cost?

8. Why is a credit check required?

A credit check is required for all customers unless specifically agreed otherwise.

 

9. How long does a credit check take?

We endeavour to complete the checks as quickly as possible.

 

10. Where can I check how many services I have left?

To check the amount of services you have left:

  1. Login to the Portal.
  2. Select the Services Tab.
  3. This page will show the amount of services left and within each service, the current usage and allowances per service.

 

11. How does the trial / test service work?

To create a trial / test service:

  1. Navigate to the service sub menu and click to create a subscription.
  2. Click request a trial subscription.
  3. View the modal that informs you about the test service.
  4. Agree to the legal terms and conditions.
  5. View the trial DSS subscription card created.

 

12. How do I sign up to a production service subscription once I have tested out the system? Do I need to create a new account?

To subscribe to a production service:

  1. Browse to your Services tab.
  2. Click Subscribe to a Service.
  3. Choose the required volume. Note, service subscriptions automatically renew by default, unless you opt out of automatic renewal by unselecting the toggle next to 'Subscriptions renews automatically'. 
  4. Confirm your order by clicking on continue. 
  5. Select a timestamping service and continue. 
  6. Select CN type that matches your intended use of this service.
  7. Select invoice or credit card.
  8. Fill in PO number or Credit Card details.
  9. Accept the quote details and terms to continue. 
  10. View and accept order summary.
  11. View the success screen.

Note, you will not be able to proceed past step d. if you are subscribing to 50K plus signatures, as a Sales Representative will contact you to create a quote manually.  

 

13. Do I need a vetted Identity to use with the trial / test service?

Yes it is required:

- Valid for 1 year
- Generates 1000 signatures
- Requires 1 valid identity 

 

14. Are signatures from the trial service valid and trusted publicly?

No, signatures from the trial service only generate untrusted signatures.

 

15. Can I get a second trial service subscription?

Yes you can subscribe to more than one.

 

16. How do I add a timestamping service to my service?

If you are subscribing to less than 50K signatures, then you will have the option to select which timestamping service you wish to use during the DSS Subscription process. It is not possible to specify or change the timestamping process after this stage. If you wish to change the timestamping service specified, please contact your Account Manager / Sales representative for assistance. 

If you are subscribing to more than 50K signatures, a Sales Representative will discuss the timestamping service options with you when they contact you.

17. What timestamping services are available for DSS?

  • AATL - Adobe-approved and trusted timestamps from GlobalSign
  • Seiko - Japan (JADAC) accredited timestamps through our partner SEIKO
  • QTSA - for Qualified Timestamp Authority as per eIDAS regulations

 

18. How do I track my subscription usage?

  • Navigate to the Services sub menu.

  • View the appropriate service tile.

  • Each service tile will include a usage graph - "Used X of total subscription".
