Ordering an EV Code Signing Certificate

Step-by-step Guidelines

  1. Log into your GCC (GlobalSign Certificate Center) account.
  2. Select the Document, Code, & E-Mail Signing tab.

  3. Choose "Order Certificates." 

  4. Select EV Code Signing and Standard Code Signing option.

  5. Choose "Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing" from the drop-down list of products, then press "Next."

  6. On the Certificate Application window, fill in the Product Details, including the desired validity period, any campaign or coupon codes, and the appropriate key generation options. Then, click Next. To understand the Key Generation options, please refer to:

    Note: Make sure to tick the option: I will use a FIPS140-2 device to generate Private Key for my Normal Code Signing or EV Code Signing certificate.

  7. Provide the Certificate Identity Details and create your temporary Pickup Password. Retain this password, as you will need it later in the installation process. If you forget this password, you will need to resubmit your order. Click Next.​​​​​​​

  8. On the Vetting Info page, enter your corporation details for the vetting process on the next screen.
  9. You also have the option to specify different individuals as the Requestor, Approver, and Signer.

  10. On the Payment Details page, here you can enter your credit card details.
    If you prefer to pay using an alternate method, select the link to Show Advanced Payment Options and choose your desired option. Then, press Next.

  11. On the Confirm Details page, review and confirm the details of your order, read and agree to the subscriber agreement, then press Next.


  12. Order Completed. 
    A vetting agent will contact you to verify the details of your order. This process will most likely require you to submit some information to GlobalSign.
