How to Configure S/MIME in Office 365

Introduction

This support article will guide you through the step-by-step process of configuring S/MIME in Office 365.

Prerequisite

1. You need to download and install your Certificate on your computer before you can proceed with this. 

Guidelines

1. Open Microsoft Office 365. 
   
   
2. Then, open Microsoft Outlook. 
   
   
   
   Note: If Outlook application is not installed, it will open on your default browser.
3. Go to Settings, then, click View all Outlook settings. 
   
   
4. Go to Mail – S/MIME. Make sure to mark all boxes in order to use the Certificate. 
   
   
5. Send an Email.
   Note: By default all outgoing emails have a Certificate.
   
   
6. To check, press “click here” to see certificate properties that was used.
